Join the KAHI 'ohana!
Korean Adoptees of Hawai'i, Inc. (KAHI), welcomes new members, whether long-time islanders, new island residents, former residents or those with ties to Hawai'i, who wish to connect with fellow Korean-born adoptees locally and beyond. Although based on O'ahu, KAHI invites adult Korean adoptees on all of the Hawaiian islands to join and participate in group activities. Members must be 18 years or older.
KAHI also invites Korean adoptees everywhere to contact us in the event that your Hawai'i travel plans coincide with KAHI group activities.
Membership Structure
Submitting the form below and subscribing to our member e-mail listserv is a great first step to take in becoming part of the KAHI 'ohana.
As KAHI continues to grow and expand our reach as an organization, we hope you will take the next step with us by showing your support as a full member of KAHI. To become a full KAHI member, all you need to do is pay annual membership dues:
- $30 for individuals
- $15 for students
- $15 special circumstances (contact KAHI for further information)
Membership will be valid for 1 year from the date of receipt, and is renewable annually.
Membership Benefits
Paying annual dues is optional, but by becoming a full member, you'll be able to take better advantage of the opportunities and activities that KAHI has to offer. For example, full members may expect to receive discounted or free registration or admission on certain events that require fees for participation.
Full members may also vote in KAHI elections for board members and any other special decisions submitted for member approval. And, by supporting KAHI as a full member, you are helping to make our programs and services possible.
KAHI participants who choose not to pay membership dues are still welcome to participate in KAHI events and activities. Remember, as a nonprofit organization, KAHI will always provide programs and services at below-market-value rates, when fees are necessary, or free of charge when possible. Dues-paying members may further benefit, however, by paying discounted rates, when offered. Non-paying members are not eligible for discounts, and are not eligible to vote in KAHI elections and votes.
